I keep hearing about how the old thru-hole J201's are kinda hit-and-miss due to their obsolecence. I've got a Six String Singer that seems to work OK with thru-hole, but I also have the surface mounts in a "conversion pcb" I could replace them with. When looking at the flat side of the thru-hole does the left-right pin sequence go Drain-Source-Gate like those of the conversion pcb?
