Momentary dpdt soft switch - How?

I have a project in the works that needs a dpdt momentary switch. Its so hard to find one that doesn't have a very hard press so I would like to go soft touch.

I saw this and would just rather build my own into my layout.

Im curious too now if there is another way to go about it with more readily available relays? I havent used relays yet so I'm out of my depth right now.

Yeah. Wire single pole momentary switch straight to a non-latching dpdt relay.
LMS do have some 3pdt momentary footswitches as well I believe. I think they were on clearance. Not sure what their actuation force is.

Compared to the SBP 1kg 3PDT:

The LMS momentary 3PDT has higher spring tension, a longer pre-travel distance, and a more linear feel.

It takes more force to get to the actuation point, and the difference between the travel tension and the click is smaller. There is a still a definite click though, and a subtle un-click traveling back up.

I have ordered both LMS and SBP. Both needed a lot of force.

It looks this would be right

But I dont know what kind of chip I need. For this particular project I dont need an led indicator. So could I run the momentary spst footswitch directly to the center pins of the relay?
That seems too easy 🤔
Either way, for future builds I will want leds so I want to know.
Please advise.
