paragon (king of tone) charge pump

I looked at a few other schematics and don't see a charge pump in the design, e.g. theseus (aeonfx). I am wondering what the difference is without it. I am wondering why it was added.

If i choose to remove the charge pump, is there a wiring fix required?

C10, C11 -> 100uF
C21, C22 -> empty
D7 -> 5817
D14, D15 -> bypass, using jumper and connect below hole of both d14 & d15.

I think there's a diagram someone drew around here too but this question has been asked and answered so the info is out there.

Edit: these are not my suggestions nor have I tested them, so take anything I found on the topic with a grain of salt.

Maybe I will keep it but it is good to know how to disable it.
