Parentheses Mini GE diodes

I wanted to get some advice on what GE diodes to use in D2 and D3 of the Parentheses Mini. I believe its the octave part of the circuit but I could be wrong. Also, how should I go about socketing diodes? I'm not sure what type of socket I need.

The sockets most often used are called SIP, and sold at most of the common vendors.

I think you're right about D2/D3 being the octave diodes. Try some D9s or similar...just be sure the Vf match.

So I’m starting to build this and these particular sockets have 4 pins. The other 2 pin sockets I got are too small to fit. Do I just clip the center two pins of the 4 pin?

I'd cut them into 2-pin sections and bridge across the diodes..

( or three if you care to socket D100 as well  ...nah probably not )
