Question about tapping +5V power for TAPFLO 3C

Hi everyone,

I recently bought Delyk PCB's 'Cherry Pie' kit (a Drolo Twin Peaks clone) and noticed that newer kits are shipped with a different LFO IC, the TAPFLO 3C, rather than the TAPFLO V2D in the original design. The instructions in the BOM are clear about what components to leave out to adjust for this, but I noticed reading the datasheet for the 3C that Pin 3 functions as a waveform selector, meaning that there is a bank of 8 additional waveforms that can be used! (https://electricdruid.net/datasheets/TAPLFO3Datasheet.pdf)

I have never modified a pedal before and just want to check that my logic is correct before I muck around with anything. The datasheet says that Pin 3 takes a 0-5V digital input, with an input = 0V selecting the alternate bank and an input of 5V or no connection selecting the original bank. If I connected Pin 3 and Pin 14 via a SPST switch, would that let me switch between banks? Or would I need to connect Pin 3 and Pin 1?
