Taming the treble in barbershop/chop shop

I like the drive character of the chop shop, but it’s too bright for my rig. Looking at the schematic, the input cap is 0.01, which is a lot of treble, does anyone have a suggestion as to what to change this to? Also, am I barking up the wrong tree? Would I be better off changing one of the other caps?

Thanks

Changing C1 won't get you there. It works with R3 to make a high-pass filter with corner freq = 8Hz.
I'd add a treble cut at the end. Here are a couple of options:
1. For a fixed treble cut, add a cap in parallel with R9. Maybe 10nF. If you want it darker, increase the cap, if you want it brighter, decrease the cap. You could even use an ON-OFF-ON switch to choose different caps or no cap.
2. For a variable treble cut, replace R9 with a B10K pot. connect a cap between pins 2 & 3. Try 22nF for starters.
