Inspired by a youtube video, and the fact that I have some NOS 6005 (6AQ5) tubes laying around, I'm thinking about making a guitar amp using said tubes. I have a couple of amp builds under my belt but, they were well known and tested circuits. This would be my first foray into an amp from scratch kind of thing. I know there's a lot folks on here who are way more amp and electronic savvy than I, and I would love some thought and opinions. I've attached a rough schematic that I made on TinyCad. The schematic I drew up is essentially the one I saw in the youtube vid but, with a few modifications. I modified it by adding a tone circuit, dropped the grid leak resistor on the input from 68k to to 33k, and removing the 1k resistor from the volume output to the screen of the 2nd 12AX7 triode. I'm thinking I can get some pretty Marshall esque kind of tones by cranking it up and driving those little 6AQ5s. I also plan on experimenting with bypass cap values on both 12 ax7 triodes if I actually put it together. Anywho... I'm curious what you all think. Anything I can do to make it better? Notice any issues with how I drew it up?
