Transtor leg insulation and biasing

This may be a atupid question but here goes, obviously a lot of builders wrap their transistor legs either wire insulation at install and I plan to do the same. How does this affect being able to bias using the collector of Q2? Do use a shorter piece of insulation on that leg so I have something to clip the lead of my multimeter onto?

If the meter probe is pointy enough, you can still get a measurement pretty easily at the base of the leg where it meets the board, despite the leg being mostly covered.
