Tri-cord Tester?

Anybody have one or use one . I found my old Craig Anderton Tri-Cord tester from 18+ years ago. Wanted to see what kind of mess inside that allowed it to still operate. This was before I started etching my own boards. Crude? Yes. Works? Yes. Usable? Very. It can detect intermittent problems. Pretty easy build too.

Copyrighted material...from the projects for guitarists book.

Here's my own schematic, based on the Tri-cord checker. I call it, the cri-tord. Work in progress.
