Understanding Lab Series' L4 (L5) Fender style tonestack

Hello

I built @aion 's wonderful L4 preamp - channel 1 has a fender style tone stack - but it's missing the capacitor between the treble and bass going to the R6 that a fender tone stack would have....

I've stuck it in TSC and what I put in for the fender tone stack and what it shows is kinda what it sounds like .... Mid knob kinda acting as a volume etc

How have they designed this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that a short circuit basically has infinite capacitance. You could plug something like 10mF into the TSC for the bass capacitor to simulate that.

Same thing - mids just work as a volume - which to be fair is about what it sounds like

having read chucks articles and then rerun the sims it seems to work normally

I may try changing C6 to be smaller and move the mid dip up a bit - it's kinda where the meat and potatoes is for bass!
