Worth a try?

I have an old hardwired tube amp from the 70s, it is the absolute dream sound but it’s insanely loud. The bulk of my pedal journey has been trying to emulate the sound of that amp but at low volumes, which I’ve got it pretty close.
With all these guys making hand wired pedals now it has me wondering if I should try to make a pedal version of this amp. I have the schematic and check actual values too. Thinking JFETS in place of tubes so on so forth. Looking at the tone stack it looks almost identical to a bassman, which makes sense because I believe this was their bass model even though it sounds epic on guitar. Grand Funk were the most notable users of West amps.
I have the West Mini II.

What are the pedal guru’s thoughts? Should I have a go at it or just stick to my Sunn model T pedal which is pretty similar? I really just want to get some turret boards and orange drops and make something cool.

You could more or less easily try to emulate preamp part of the amp using jfets. Won't be that easy with a power amp section. Maybe a third jfet stage followed by LED diodes as clippers?

That amp is making me salivate. I have no advice but I too have been enjoying a model T based circuit quite a lot lately, Acapulco w baxandall and clean blend. Respect for the ol green sovtek too.
