Epic kudos to @fig for gifting a handful of us these BigNoise amplification boards.
I finished up the Cowpoker last night*
I put the asterisk because I haven’t boxed it up yet and currently am jumpering pins 1&2 of the relay controller chip to get it to engage. (Sounds like some of them need to be re-flashed)
Long story short. This thing is super epic, to the point where it might actually bump off my longest standing pedal that I’ve had on my board the Life clone. This thing has more gain and shred than the Thorpy shrapnel and anything else I’ve ever played outside of the Black eye but it’s not the same type of shred so not sure they can even be compared. Either way this thing is killing it. Wasn’t sure if I would like it because I don’t do much high gain stuff that my Life clone can’t handle but this thing does all the doom and even more. Very stoked to box this bad boy up and get the relay worked out. I will post a proper build report and a sound clip once that is all sorted. Just wanted to give another round of cheers to Santa, I mean Fig.
Oh and it’s really cool to watch the internal green LEDs go wild as I play. This might be a cool case for having those square LEDs visible on the enclosure to show the activity while shredding.
