It's 11.11 day at AliExpress

Ali's annual Prime day knock off is here for the next week. Thread to post deals found for those interested.
Think I'll probably grab this hot air station that I've been eyeballing for a few weeks. Don't need a second iron but could be handy for desoldering tasks.

And there's the $1 rotary switches

DEFINITELY GETTING ONE OF THESE FOR THE DRUMMER! It's his spirit animal.

Edit: MAKE SURE YOU CLIP THE 11.11 COUPONS ON THE FRONT PAGE

I’ll be updating this over the course of the day. Lot of good deals to be had. I shop a lot on AliExpress and these sale days are *always* worth taking advantage of. Several of my favorite Ali purchases of things I use every day on my bench are steals today.

Always check related items to see if there’s a better price or a store with better coupons. Some coupons won’t auto apply and will need to be copied and pasted.

“Choice” items ship faster and for free and are worth seeing if they end up cheaper at checkout than the same product in other listings even if the Choice option is more expensive.

Also I wonder if that whole site makes more sense on a desktop. It sure is unfamiliar for me to navigate on mobile including but not limited to redirecting me to languages I don't know
The app is servicable but the search is pretty trash across the board. There's a lot of suggested items that populate even if they're not related to your search(they're tied to previous browsing history)

Yeah I don't have another app in me. It's fine though. Neither listing I've had saved seems to be on sale and I'm not looking to spend money

I use these to test populated boards. Cheapest I've seen them(~3)With a handful and some Dupont wires, I can hook up a board in just a few seconds while not having to solder any jacks or footswitch.

I do trim the edges and sides down with a Dremel to get them to fit between the upper pots for power on ppcb boards. Be sure to get 2.54 pitch. Really the fastest and cleanest way I've found to test boards.

Desktop is definitely better than mobile web browser. The app is better than desktop for some things though

This is amazing, thank you for the rec !!! Snagged a 4 pin for in/gnd/sw/out and a 6 pin for the top. Now if they only made these in 5.08mm pitch for potentiometers

They're great. Careful with them though as the pogos are pretty brittle.
I have an old enclosure that I mounted power in and out jacks to.
Then wired them to female banana jacks(really only need one negative/ground but I put 3 in so I can isolate ground on the jacks if I want).
Some male banana to Dupont female cables and you're cooking.
Can have a board hooked up in 10 seconds.

Edit:
You'll have to drink down the front and sides to fit between the pots on most 125b builds.
I recommend setting it in a bench vise with a shop vac pulling out the dust or doing it outside. You *DO NOT* want to breathe in that fiberglass dust.

If one were making a lot of the same pedal, could probably use these in a clamping jig

Make a pcb that sits on the solder side with a clamping mechanism to hold contact.
Hell, you could do all of this, power, io, everything, then have all that elsewhere on the jig pcb.
But that's more of a volume/qc thing.

Would love to see ppl in the community design the pcb pogo clamps(and pcb for pogo pins) where it actually fit without having to grind it. Whoever is printing these in China only makes 2 clamp sizes, so half of them are wider then needed to be.
There are a handful of thingyverse that could be modified

Haha! I'm derailing my own thread.
