The More Trippy, The More Far Out Man, The Better!

The new EAE Prismatic Wall has some really awesome sound samples!

I'm thoroughly impressed with all of the suggestions everybody, more than greatly appreciated. There's so much stuff out there and there have been a ton of suggestions of companies I've never heard of. Just got paid today............decisions.......

The Chase Bliss "Mood II" is quite the adventure for those included towards a LOT of knob, toggle & dip-switch setting. The variations of ambient, tonal realms of this mutually-aware, dual channel circuit are vast.

@Cybercow I definitely need/have to sit down and spend some serious quality time with that pedal. I figured if I could crack Meris pedals, the Blooper would follow suit. Have struggled with that pedal a ton. The sound samples from videos have watched have a ton of amazing sounds I would love to incorporate into my music, has just been insanely difficult to dial that beast in.

Understood & appreciated. The problem I find with the Mood II is that while searching for any specific sound, I find so many other great ones along the way. LOL!

Yeah EAE certainly took note of the physical modelling synths (hardware and software) that have been on the rise, and was able to be the first to take it into the pedal realm. Curious who follows up with a similar idea... These things don't come along...

Still waiting for my Anyma Omega kickstarter downpayment to come to fruition, otherwise I had jumped on it as well!

What instruments have you tried the Blooper with? I found it easiest to grab a tabletop instrument (little keyboard or whatever) and have the Blooper sit next to it. I really could use an extra hand while getting to understand the little monster. I haven't bothered yet with guitar, let alone sit it on the ground being hunched over. It's not that sort of pedal.

I really like the EAE Beholder for getting out there, but more in a noise destruction sense. However, with a clean blend added and the fuzz and tone turned down a bit you can get some great smoky psychedelic layers of feedback floating behind the rest of your playing.

Along the line of the Klien Bottle, but more generally speaking, parallel effects loops. Stacking octave pedals in parallel is pretty great. I just finished the PPCB splitter and mixer.

I do use a programmable loop switcher, and thought about extending the setup with the Musicom Parallelizer. I haven't really seen any other MIDI-controllable parallel looper quite like it (that are still in production). Some loopers allow for some parallel routing, but usually it's just two loops.

Literally just ordered that board last night haha! Also definitely doing those mods for sure. Pretty incredible build docs with a ton of amazing information! Wish they had more stuff to build

source audio artifakt looks interesting- if you look at the app you can kinda see the full possibilities whereas the website documtation focuses on simpler setup…
C4 is fun too

Mercury X is probably coming your way at some point as well?

Well.........wasn't even on my radar, thought I had reverb covered with my Big Sky, Night Sky, and diy reverbs. Bought the Mercury X and Enzo last week. Incredible additions to my sound. Definitely selling both Strymon pedals. The Mercury X goes WAY beyond what I thought a reverb pedal can do, I should have bought this the day it came out. I'm really starting to fall for the digital ultra clarity that digital effects provide for my studio recordings. HIGHLY recommend any and all Meris products if you're into that sort of thing/sound.

Very true! I still have my nightsky because it's a bit more hands-on for live tweaking, and sounds incredible (and pairs nicely with the Volante, which I love a lot as well; the same, pretty much perfect, controls). But indeed, I think most of the sounds can be covered by the X. The addition of the algorithms they created with Chase Bliss for that big reverb of theirs is great as well. The lack of the lofi algorithms of those can easily be reached through tweaking with the bitcrusher and such.

Still, I am waiting for the editor to arrive as creating things from scratch is too much of a hassle for me. I rather sit behind a screen for an afternoon to create some core settings, that I can tweak to perfection while making music.

@tegendemuur are the CB additions you're talking about for the X or a different pedal? I've downloaded a few patches for the LVX from their official patch site, but haven't yet for the X. The X seems to have a ton of stuff the public has been working on so definitely looking forward to perusing those

The X has the hifi versions used in this premium pedal. :)

Obviously they couldn't cram all algorithms in the X, because that would be cutting too much into CBs sales. But the X can approximate it nicely. I suspect, when the editor arrived, perfected user patches of this will be there for grabs.

I actually asked Meris about this via mail. Their reply: "Yes, you can still access some the sounds of the standard and lofi via the Hazy Modulation Element. The “Decimate” parameter of the element will reduce the sample rate of the reverb by a percentage. You can also adjust the sound with High/Low shelf EQ, as well as Age and Warble for some modulation texture."

@DeadAirMD By the way, what do you think of the Mod Rex? It was on my radar this weekend, but I feel the forced signal route is limiting and made me remove it from my wishlist. What are your thoughts on the fixed filter > mod > tremolo > panning chain?

The LVX might be able to do something similar? I don't have any other multi-effect here... (I don't use a pedalboard, so there's pressure in keeping things compact; I make up new chains on my desk whenever I feel like sitting down and getting calm or gloomy or weird with whatever instrument and effect I feel like playing.)

Massive fan of the Pigtronics Echolution 2 and the Mod Rex. I can absolutely 100% see people thinking the Mod Rex can be a one trick pony. The sounds these pedals create are vital though to the background rhythms I create, so they go beyond "one trick pony" for my usage. I'll post a sound clip or two when I get home from work so you can hear better what I'm referring to. My music moderately resembles a band called Sound Tribe Sector 9, so it's kind of a blend of electronic, rock, funk, and groove. I use a looper pedal and play bass, synth, effects (all using a midi pickup) and of course guitar all on the guitar.

It’s old and long out of production, but I still like my trusty Alesis Bitrman for some versatile, concentrated weirdness.
It’s not a guitar pedal per se, but if you stick a buffer/pre-amp in front of it and a re-amp after, it works fine straight into an amp;)

Or you can Catalinbread’s “reimagining”.
Can’t vouch for this one personally (I’ve only got the original Alesis), but it looks cool.
