Clean boost for 1590A recommendation

Hello everyone,
I recently started changing guitars live. I use strat and SG and the strat is lower in output (unsurprisingly) and I am looking for a solution for this. I think a simple clean boost could solve this...
I don't have much space on my pedalboard left so it must fit into 1590A.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I can built it on vero.

I was thinking about LPB1...
Thanks

Hello.
If you just want just to adjust the lack of volume in your Strat compared to the SG, a generic single-op-amp circuit will work just fine. Even a 10 dB boost is more than enough. You could set the gain with a pot.
I preferred op-amp to LPB-1 because it has higher impedance.

If you want to try another smaller circuit you can do the same thing but using a generic JFET booster, too.

Thanks, I didn't even think of it, sounds like a better solution. Something like MXR micro amp? Do you have any particular circuit recommendations?

The MXR micro amp is ok. I don't know if you can find a way to squeeze it into a 1590A box. I use to build pedal on stripboard, so if you want a a little bit simple circuit based on op-amp I think you can find some layout around.

Maybe this: https://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2014/04/acoustic-piezo-preamp.html it's just an op-amp based booster and that is a good point to start.

What I'd do with this is: to remove the final volume pot, to add a 100k resistor in the output across the ground, and to replace the 220k resistor with a 250k pot, maybe a log is fine. So you can set the gain from no boost to a max boost, and not the output from mute to max boost.

Uggsy is really good. The Red Rooster is good too, and the bass boost might help a Strat. I've built both into 1590A enclosures before. Although the 1590A isn't always as small as you think once you allow for the space needed for the jacks.

1590A side jacks are about the same real-estate as 1590B top jacks so keep that in mind as well. I would get some definitive measurements and compare what you have left to the datasheets on the 1590A and 1590B. Love My Switches and Stompbox Parts have easy to see info.

i just built a mk4.23 clone (pedalpcb transcendance boost) and imo it beats the microamp. it fits in a 1590b, same size as the micro amp.
that transcendance is clean af and louder than the micro amp

i found a 1590b variant that is the same footprint as a regular 1590b, but it's called 1590b2 and is 1.5" tall instead of just 1".. nice when you want something small bur still want room for jacks, lol... it looks nicer next to a 125b too..
