Yet another PNP Fuzz Face

Blend valve piped in...

It works perfectly! I would prefer another taper, but stock was so low during the Low Tide release I only bought one (ain't I sweet?)...I had these dual C500Ks for some reason so viola!

Now for the blooper reel;

I wired this pot in probably less than a minute, and chuckled to myself as I walked it to the amp (I am sick of hearing my loop)...it won't work, but it is probably close...

Plug it in, strum,....nothing. Turn the knob, nothing. Turn the knob the other way...yup nothing.
Spend 5 minutes looking at all the components, maybe I fried a transistor? nah! A resistor must be rubbing...nope...power? Yup...anyway...after taking it back to the bench and scratching my head because it SHOULD work....go back to the amp....reach over to strum the guitar and.......

Dammit Chuck! You win again.

I did exactly the same thing with a red llama build a few days ago. After realising I hadn't plugged the cable in I thought "you muppet at least you know what the problem was" then strum shit still no sound. Sit down again to look at it and realised that I'd put the IC in backwards.

Unfortunately even after getting sound it sounded kinda pants and noisy so I'm waiting for a different non TI 4049 to arrive to see if that's why it sucks.

Also I like the strat colour. Anychance of some pics of the guitar as well please fig?

I feel ya. I think it's that little surge of adrenaline after spending hours focusing on something that blows any and all rational thinking out of the water in the moments between believing a project to be finished and when you get confirmation that it's working properly. I'm basically a stuttering dotard for 15 minutes after finishing a pedal.

Sure!

Looking at the guitar, it needs a good wipe down! That strap is a Gregg Allman Low Country Blues #50 of 50. My wife got it for me. She's the greatest!

I like it @fig. It's hard to tell from the pics but is that a roasted maple neck? Olive green with a two point trem? American professional, some fsr special edition? Looks excellent and good work on wife and the strap :-)

Good question @caiofilipini , I am hoping that will be the end result yes. I am not liking the C-taper as it "squeezes" the middle. I've ordered some 500K linear(B), regular taper(A), and MN-taper dual gangs to see which, if any will cut the mustard (my money is on...well all of them..but the MN is actually meant for this). If not, I could leave it "primed & dimed (no control)", a toggle, or something?
