I grabbed them from Huayi, they came from china to uk pretty quick also. How do you you feel they would do in the Compulator with the off resistance being so high ?
Update - they have arrived - light resistance is anywhere from 200 - 400 ohm, as soon as you take the power out they are up to 20m ohm in seconds. Do we think they are ‘NOT’ in spec 👀
So I think it was me that started the thread, heavens knows where it’s gone the legends @Chuck D. Bones and @Feral Feline added all the important stuff. I have actually just done a layout for it, probably sending it off for fab next week.
So I know that this has previously been kicked about, but these things are all but gone I think. There is a seller in the UK but they want £20 each for them.
Has anyone found a suitable alternative, opto coupler or LED and LDR combo.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks dude - I was really confused as to why there like be a mix of that, and a few grounds kicking about. Iv knocked up a PCB layout for it. I would normally flood both sides for ground, but I have done one side ground and the other V.Bias. Every day really is a learning day.
So looking at this schematic I am confused with the whole V.Bias thing. I am likely wrong, but I would normally see ground where they are on this schematic. Do they just all link together through pin 6 and 7 of IC1 ?
It’s got me all twisted as it’s not what a schematic would normally look...
Thankfully I always socket ICs. Popped 3 and 5 out and bridged them. The Ic is right under the gain pot so it a short hop to Vref. Not has chance to test but will report back tomorrow.
Thanks again brother.
