The elusiveness is hilarious, even though I started it 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t ’think’ it’s based on anything over at ROG, but I could be very wrong, it’s the Mr Deaky - Iv had a look through ROGs archives and can’t see anything that matches. I do love a bit of duct tape though !!!
Dear all,
I am looking at doing a Deacy style pedal. There is a company that does one and I am considering reverse engineering it.
I believe they are built on vero. I am 95% sure I could knock up a schematic from it but need help from someone who is 100%, it’s the power section that will...
Just a quick check ! If were to ditch the buffer (I had a million buffered bypass 3pdt boards) would I get shot of everything (bar the pull down resistor) upto the black line, and the Vref b could go also as its only linked to the buffer !
Thanks man, I’m going to do a layout on Eagle for the Hiwatt and maybe the Soldano. JLCpcb rocks. I can’t quite fathom how they do what they do for so little money. I was pondering on doing yeh Ac30 Normal channel also but I love the ROG Britannia.
Thanks man, saves me the headache of a Mouser...
Did you build them or buy them built ? I know another place does some layouts for some - I haven’t seen any for the Vox stuff though !
2SK117 - pain ! You can get the SMD counterpart from Mouser which I will likely do, can’t be doing with the faf swapping resistors in and out if I change to...
So from what I can see the vero is verified, once the feedback resistor was de-bugged.
I’m thinking for the sake of a few £££ I can knock up a pcb and see how it is !
Hey all,
Curious to know if anyone has knocked one of these up. I know there was a brother some time back having difficulty’s. This seems to have been resolved by highering the value of the resistor between Pin 6 and 7 on IC1. I would likely put a 20k trim here.
2SK117s are like rocking horse...
Thanks for such a comprehensive, and more importantly understandable reply.
This also answers another burning question I have had. So you can basically run different supply’s from the main 9v by branching off with a low ohm resistor. I was thinking of this when looking at doing several treble...
