    Titania 2 Transistor Choice

Makes sense! Thanks for all the info. Kicking myself for not socketing the transistors when I built this (what feels like ages ago). Will hopefully get that going and take some measurements soon!

    Titania 2 Transistor Choice

Thanks for the reply! Still learning the subtleties of transistors in fuzzes; this absolutely has to be the issue! Is the 150-200 HFE a recommendation for this specific circuit, or would that apply to a good chunk of other fuzzes with a similar architecture as well? edit: revisiting the build...

Thanks! Gonna give those a shot

    Ultimate Octave/Foxx Tone Machine

Awesome build! I'm messing around with one I just built and the diode choice seems to make all the difference; it's not a huge fan of the D9Es I tossed in (they're the only GE ones I have kicking around). What diodes did you use for the clipping and octave bits of the circuit?

    Ok it's back :)

Heya not sure if this is on your radar yet but the main website is timing out :(

    Olive Garden Plumes

I don't really have an explanation for this, my wife did the concept and artwork based on the enclosure color. The olive branches were an experiment with using a negative mask with a cricut machine and gold sharpie. Not bad! Now if only I could drill holes straight... The plumes is my fave...

    massive DIY delay pedal brainstorming

The sound reminds me a lot of the PT2399 but getting a LED to blink in sync with the repeats is fairly difficult with it, at least from my experiments (please correct me if I'm wrong, I want an easy way to do this if it's possible!). That makes me think there's either a microcontroller in there...

    Zvex SHO

Good call!! I'm doing a custom footprint going forward; it seemed so perfect but soldering was such a pain because of how close the pins were. No way in hell you could even fit pin headers side by side in there.

    Zvex SHO

I've built a lot of PedalPCB boards now and finally had a go at doing a custom PCB. Went for the SHO because it's dead simple, so I could focus on the layout. Pretty fun! A lot of details to get right. Mad respect to PedalPCB for nailing all of it on so many boards. This one came out great, even...

    Quarantine Fuzz

I think you're officially the first to post a completed one of these! Congrats! It looks awesome!

    Quarantine Fuzz

That's a good idea! My original idea was to throw a clear backing on the enclosure but the more I look at the photos the more I'm thinking one of those clear plastic hammond enclosures possibly. They do seem brittle, though...nothing I'd want to stomp on regularly or drag to gigs, but instead...

    Quarantine Fuzz

Trying to make heads and tails of this; should I put the components facing up so the sweet silkscreen on the back shines through and you see that from the back of the pedal, or just build like normal with the components facing down? I'm thinking silkscreen face up

Solder pad holes don't fit pins

I had the same issue with the pads for the pots on the percolator build I did last night; solved by lightly twisting a similarly sized drill bit through to give it some space; there was more than enough pad on the soldering side to make a good connection.

    Tayda alpha pot equivalents?

Yep! The minimum order is 10, but I figure they'll all get used at some point. Doesn't hurt to have more on hand. I'm going to try doing an enclosure-less order from Tayda soon (I don't think I ever have!)...if it's true they'll ship it from CO, I should receive it within a day or two, which...
