Thx temol, I am thinking about building THAT4301 noise gate as per THAT. I have breadboard so it might take an evening to check that. The one of drawback is that I am not sure what to expect from that design. I live in Rzeszow.

Hi Elijah-Baley - I have exact same issue with both board PCB and veroboard. It seems that, as you wrote, THAT4301 retrofit does not work well for that design. Quick questions - were you able to solve issue with your unit?

I have same issue as sshort86. At low Threshold setting the Gate does not fully gate and there is some noise coming from setup (EVH5150 Red channel). Once Threshold is increased to around 10 o'clock it starts to gate noise out, but sustain from guitar (EMG81 active pickup) dramatically decrease...

Normally if threshold is usable only in first half of travel the solution would be: Replace B25K pot to B10K but between B10K(pin3) and R8(pin1)/R10(pin2) install 10K resistor. In this case new B10K pot on entire travel will give the same experience as B25K on half of travel.
