Just realized I missed ordering 8n2 caps for a Caesar Chorus (Walrus Julia) 6n8 and 10n are the closest I have on hand. Would substituting one of those be a problem in this circuit?

Edit: I think I got IPA in the pots shorting it out. Seems to be working fine now that it sat for a few hours. Just finished 2 Deflectors. They worked briefly but when I turned the density knob all the way to the right, the effect quit and will not come back. Sounds exactly the same as in...

I am building 2 of these and figure its worth messing around with tho see if it really makes a difference. Are you saying that connecting the ge diode from leg 1 to 3 of the 2n7000 will accomplish this?

Right around 7.50 I have another board. I think I'm going to try and salvage a couple diodes and move on. I'll keep this one around in case I get really bored. I REALLY appreciate you troubleshooting this with me!

I set the dip switch and pots of both channels the same so that I could switch back and forth to compare. That's when I realized how bad pin 1 on IC2 was sounding.

So I lied about pin 1 I'm getting a signal, but it fizzles out if I leave the probe on there. Also noticed that I get no sound from pin 2 unless I "accidentally" bridge 1 & 2. Then both pins do the fizzling out thing when I probe them seperatly.

Alright, I tried that. I get a strong signal on pin 1 but barely audible at pin 7.

Yes. I ran an audio probe across it and it works at every joint. That said, it was my first time using one, so I may not have been doing something correctly. I knew about the 39ohm resistor. I was out of 33s and figured that shouldn’t really have an effect. I even swapped the ICs since I knew...

so when you do this you are just bridging 2 & 3 with the leg of the resistor? I’ve done this when I was only using 2 legs of the pot but didn’t know if it would work with 3.

Just finished populating this board this afternoon. Hooked it up and CH2 sounds great. Switched to CH1 and I get almost no sound. *If I mess with the pots enough I can get the occasional quick fart out of it. Anyone notice something stupid here?

Well, you know the old saying, mind your P’s and N’s. Or pf’s and nf’s. C8 was totally the wrong cap. Working like a charm now. I opened up the big Kliche and it was super obvious.
