Thank you guys! I ended up making the rookie mistake of wiring the jack in reverse, which also led to me to wire the LED's in reverse too. Everything seems to work now, and sounded good going into my interface, will try again tomorrow on my Peavey stack!

I have it wired like this: the black is negative (Ground Pin), and red is positive (+9V pin). I believe it should be correct as the LED's are lighting up when engaged. But I will double check when I get the chance.
