Where is a good place to see a dual pt2399 circuit? I would like to try it but googling for schematics left me overwhelmed. Seems like a handful of circuits that most people cant get to work and some swear by. Thanks.
The Catalinbread Heliotrope is notoriously noisy. However I have one on a breadboard (with a handful of mods I will list) and its really very quite. I added a Jfet buffer to the front and it kills the little bit of noise even further. Now, enter the stripboard build which whines like a mother...
The noise i experienced was only as notes decayed. It was pretty brief. Sounds like you have a solder bridge somewhere. Perhaps go through and re wet your solder and look for places to clean up.
