I may have the inputs confused. The louder output with more high end I don't have bypass. The quieter one with less high end I do have bypass.

Hi, I built the Valhalla and I thought everything went smoothly but I don't have bypass on the amplifier output. I do have bypass on the power amp output. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? This is my first build with silver solder so I might have a bad joint but I can't tell the difference...

Seems like bass is stuck at halfway, still no control with the pot.

I replaced the pot and still the same problem. This time I used a lug pot so I can see in behind it. Will check C12 and R16 and all my joints, that's probably what it is.

Thanks! I'll check that out. It was a kit from Musikding so it's more likely a bad solder joint. The bass pot measures at 500k for some reason but it is a 1M.

The treble was the only lug pot, the rest are pcb mount. It was making contact with the toggle switch. A little black tape fixed that but I'm still stuck on why the bass isn't working.

Is it something I did or is just the way the board works? Mids work fine but bass and treble don't seem to be working. Deep switch works great.

Built the Integral Preamp and it is pretty cool. I didn't know the boards had the part listed right on them. Really like the sound. I may take it apart and look over my work, see where I can improve.

I take it back, haha...I don't want a spreadsheet or a database. Those are impressive management skills. I don't have the space to work on more than one thing at a time. I am enjoying the nightfire amp, it was fun to build and it sounds great to me. Should have drilled my box before I built it.

Haha! 1200 is quite a bit, but if you're making stuff out of it I can see it. A dozen projects would be difficult for me to keep track of, I hope to get to that point though.
