I used to own an original (MKI) and have the pedal pcb version partially built. The changes they described for MKII sound like they would be ideal to incorporate into the incomplete project.
MKII sounds like they tweaked the original. The description was that it is a bit less boomy / muddy and the tone controls had more range. That was my main issue with the original but it had a smooth character that I really liked otherwise. I actually have an unfinished symbolic that is in...
Hi everyone. I used to have an original Simble pedal but there is a new variant which apparently has more clarity and less flubbiness.
Has anyone had a look at the new variant to figure out if its easy to mod the current pedalPCB project to similar values to the new MKII version?
Is phaser used alot in country music? I've been thinking of doing one of these. Been waiting for AionFX to release a PCB of the Maxon rotary phaser. He mentioned working on it over a year ago but it seems like it wont be coming any time soon. I'd love a modern quiet version of the Maxon...
I've got one of these half way finished. I moved to NZ and now finding that stupid B2M dual pot for this is impossible and the B1M alternative is not in stock at Tayda. I've got a few other pedals have way done and the missing parts seem to only be available from the US. I might have to let...
Do you sell the smasher switch separately? It seems like it would be better for at home playing where you might be using the switches without shoes on.
I've got one that I built last year. I suspect I fried the IC because it was one of my first builds and I didn't socket it. My multimeter is in another country so troubleshooting it will have to wait. I actually had an original and quite liked it.
It's ok but I think they hyped it up a fair amount. I haven't had much time with it through a real cab and I've heard that's what it is best at. I will say the cab simulation on it is horrible and the headphone option seems a bit lacking. You might want to hold off because apparently Quilter...
I think I had one of those Rockmans for a while back in the 80s but I guess it is a different beast in pedal format going through an actual speaker instead of crappy headphones.
The Golden Falk definitely looks interesting. Would you say the Golden Falk gets close to that vintage super plexi...
This seems to be a cool mod for JMs and some other guitars. It sounds almost like a harmonic tremolo but is inbuilt into the guitar. But it also seems pretty expensive.
Has anyone seen this reverse engineered anywhere? The unit itself seems to be pretty small with multiple surface mounted...
I've got a few PCBs I screwed up as well. My solder iron was displaying an incorrect temp and was super hot. I actually melted the wire trace bit out of the board on one and suspect I overheated a few components on 2 other ones. Super annoying. Everything is on hold till I move back home...
I spent way more but also have the Aussie exchange rate. I have about 5 or 6 partially completed boards and 4-5 completed pedals. Everything went on hold when my Pencil broke and I went overseas for a contract. Hoping to finish some of these projects in 2023.
I seem to remember that there was work on a self biasing fuzz that used a different method from the Benson fuzz. Is this the one? I can't seem to find much info about it.
