Help me understand something, though, please. Even if I don’t have a transistor connected at all, shouldn’t there be signal at that pin 2’s solder pad? And could I have fried this transistor by wiring it incorrectly?

Nevermind, it's working now. I don't know what the hell is going on.

Update: built a probe and started digging around. I have signal up until IC1, the NE5532. Pin 3 gives me signal (which appears to be the input) and nothing on any other pins. Does it make sense to assume this chip is dead?

The top TL072 reads: 1: 3.94v 2: 4.08v 3: 3.94v 4: ~0 5: 3.94 6: 3.94v 7: 5.62v 8: 9.06v The NE5532 reads: 1: 2.25v 2: 3.41 v 3: 3.15v 4: 0 5: 3.94 6: 3.94 7: 2.28v 8: 9.06v I still need to build an audio probe. Thanks for everybody's help

I don’t know what voltages I’m expecting to see. I see 9v coming in, but as far as what the ICs should be receiving, I have no clue. I just took the footswitch out of circuit, plugged the jacks right into their in and out pads on the pcb. Also, all component values seem to check out

I've started going through the components now. R2 seems to be correct, reading at around 470k. Some of these other ones are a little strange, like R6 is reading 12.8k rather than 22k and R14 is reading 4k rather than 6k8. Seems like these are both outside of expected tolerance? On R3 and R7...

I'll try that. I've pulled the pot completely away from those leads while play testing and it didn't solve the problem.
