Hi!
Im replacing the switch on this guv'nor. I need to cut one row on the new switch for it to fit. Which direction should it be? Vertical as in the pic or horizontal?
Send pics of the other side of the board….. Don’t hack up parts and fix your pedals with NASCAR tape and wd40… We can find you the correct switch
Thanks for your answers! =)
It's a friends pedal and he dont want to invest any money in it, but I have loads of 3PDT switches and was thinking about making it for free.
But you both are of course right.

Now. Notice your lugs on you old switch are in the opposite direction. You need to be sure that you have round pads on the PCB. If they are oblong, your hacked switch won't fit. You'll have to get the proper switch.
Also, make sure it will fit back in the enclosure horizontally and the height is doable. I'm almost certain that the center point will be off and it won't fit. You'll also to want to check and make sure that the cut off pole nubs don't eat into the pcb and damage a trace.
Sometimes you can fix switches by carefully disassembling them and swapping the rocking contact. There are some YouTube videos.
Big proponent of right tool for the job myself and will echo getting the right switch. Tell your friend to stop being a cheap ass, especially if you're doing the work for free.
