All Time Most Bestest Favoritest Chorus You Have Owned , Played or Heard?

Back when I actually used chorus (about 30 years ago) I had a Dimension C which was cool but too big to lug to gigs. So I used a little half-rack sized Boss Chorus - RCE-10 I think. I still have it somewhere. I also liked the Dimension D pedal. I have an Ibanez PDM-1 delay which does a decent chorus sound but then you can't use it as a delay.

But after a while I got tired of chorus altogether. It's only in the past year or so that I have got back into modulation with a UA Starlight Delay. I have a setting which is my '80s sound for using with a Strat and lots of repeats. It has a light chorus on the delay only which sounds amazing in mono and even better in stereo (ie with two amps) but is almost always only used in mono because two amps... I do like it for that sound but that's the only time I use chorus. I have a UA Heavenly Plate Reverb which has great reverb but I can't stand the modulation so it's always on zero.

I think maybe you’re lysdexic…
Dimension C would be easier to haul to a gig than a 1/2rack.

I don’t recall Dimension D offered as a pedal… 😘

Dimension D was always on my Big Wish bucket-list, still is.

You should dig out your Dimension D and use it again, or just to look at it. 😻

Holy craptastic! Just looked at prices… original SDD-320 units go from $1500-$3300! Guess my dream will remain such.

I have several Choruses. A Liquid Chorus (I forget who makes it) , a PSK Chorus , EQD Sea Machine , Seppuku Mind Warp, and a Boss CE-2 clone. I love just a taste of chorus a lot for my tones but haven't found THE perfect Chorus yet. What's your thoughts on the Chorus pedal?
I haven't tried a ton of chorus pedals, as rack units were always my thing when I was gigging on bass with effects. The old Rocktron Intellifex was by far my favorite back then, FWIW.

But these days I am using pedals occasionally, just as much for the fun of building them as the actual utility. I've only done a couple of delay/chorus/flangers so far, and the one based on the Cabintech "digital BBD" chip is by far my favorite:

I'll do a proper enclosure for the next build, this was just a beta test for the first spec Cabintech IC in a janky old box I had laying around. The next version will probably have plenty more knobs and switches, because for me mono-->stereo format is absolutely mandatory.

I'm a big Walrus Audio guy and I just LOVE the Julia. I like being able to get a slight lo-fi warble kind of feel from my chorus, and it does it beautifully.

I have never played an actual MXR stereo chorus but I have yet to find a physical pedal that sounds as good as the VST even though the stereo spread is really good I have my doubts if this is an accurate emulation of the real thing. But I still find myself with the actual pedal in my cart but never pull the trigger, because I have a CH-1, small stone, Caesar, and various FV-1 mono and stereo algorithms. And often eye balling the Blueshift (DC-2) , I still need to sit down and see how The FL9 sounds with a chorus setting.
Y
Yeah Im really looking forward to hearing my FL9 especially and my BossBF-2 is only a couple parts away from completion.

Maybe I mentioned it maybe not but recently built Seppuku Mind Warp which I really liked ( so much it got a box) but its still not quite what Im looking for which I'll know when I hear it just like all my other pedals hence why I continue to build 'em.
