Indicator light question

Hello,
I’m new to building pedals and am working on a Je T’aimee circuit. I figured this would be a simple build as it’s only one knob and minimal components. However, I really want to have a Marshall indicator light as the indicator LED as a nice touch to this Marshall inspired pedal. I’ve attached a photo of the one I have. It’s a 6V led. I imagine it’s not as simple as wiring this straight into the board like the normal 5mm led that the circuit is designed with. How would I go about using this indicator light?

Should work the same as any other LED. Standard current limiting resistor on ppcb boards is usually 4.7k, if you want to test it, you can rig up a 9v battery or dc jack and 9v power supply and put a 4.7k on either leg of the led. Then try out different resistors up or down until you get a brightness you like, then use that value when you build out the board.

Do you have enough depth in the enclosure for that indicator? The one on amplified parts says 2 inch total length.
If not, you could use a square lens and UV led to get close

Looks like that white plastic tab can easily be trimmed so the total length is just under 1.5" and still keep the connections isolated.

I've had good luck using a potentiometer for this in the past. Just dial in the brightness you like then measure the resistance of the pot, use an appropriate resistor for permanent installation.
