Hey guys,
this is my newest build.
The Chop Shop.
This overdrive is my new favorite as tone shaper, when I record heavy high gain stuff.
It's also sounds awesome as overdrive, indeed.
Used smd J201, but don't found any, which are in the recommended specs, but otherwise I could bias it and it's sounds really good to my ears.
The ten J201 smd I buyed from Tayda was in the 300-400ua IDSS range.
I know someone told they should be in another range.
First I biased with my DMM and then I made fine-tune by ear.
Enclosure and uv print from Tayda. Used the original Davies 1400 knobs.
