Neurocyton̈

That looks like an awesome opportunity to practice de-soldering with a solder-sucker and solder-braid.

Sometimes adding fresh solder helps. Sometimes adding flux helps.

Sometimes I get better results with the braid, but the best result was when I went6 to a larger and more powerful solder-sucker.

I didn't see any lifted traces, so I would totally try to salvage this board.
Probably try desoldering it bit-by-bit, in stages — I don't think I'd attempt it all in one go.

Sometimes, I've had to use a 2mm (or smaller) drill-bit, turning it by hand, when the sucker and braid didn't do the trick.
Takes a while, but in the end is worth it to have a clean and empty pad ready to resolder a component in.

the thing is., id love to do DE soldering , i DE soldered a boss od3 and replaced most of the caps no problem but with this i really burned the trace pad so my next project is a sunflower fuzz this time with my new iron. later i will redo the neurocyton preamp with a new board, but yes now i will practice more DE soldering

its hard to see but the trace pad is gone , one question i cleaned the flux with rubbing alcohol is there a flux paste that isnt so sticky? i used the Weller rosin , thx

i like the idea of using a drill bit, that would be less damaging than putting so much heat on there

do you use silver bearing rosin core? that's what i use because its readily available, i have the 1mm roll that comes in a little tube. is the lead solder really that much better.?

It might be obvious in person, but from the photos I couldn't tell which pad is burnt.

IF it's just one pad, you'll definitely be able to resurrect this board. Put the board away for some later rainy day when you've got more experience and are waiting for parts and have nothing else to do, then pull this ol' thing out again. :)(y)
