Chorus of Doom (Blackhat Boojum BTF Chorus)

Alright, further down the chorus rabbit hole I go. I was originally going to enter this into the player haters ball contest but I had to order the TL062 and I didn’t want to lose my last shred of honor by submitting a dishonest entry. So the circuit is Blackhat Boojums BTF Chorus (CE-2). It sounds amazing. It is only chorus in my DIY journey so far that has held a candle to DC-2W. The BTF chorus has the same sort of 3D sound that I love in the DC-2w but more depth and motion in the BTF. Using both gets me in tri-stereo chorus territory. The fidelity in the Blackhat Chorus is pretty incredible. This may dethrone DC-2w after more playtime, who knows. The enclosure was one of my very first I made back in 2021. It was originally going to be for the AionFX GAIA (Catalinbread Galileo) but I lifted a couple of traces troubleshooting. I did 4 or 5 enclosures in epoxy, thinking that was going to be my new improved best method for enclosures, only to abandon all epoxy ideas because it’s a huge PITA. The artwork is J.R.R. Tolkien’s original artwork for Mount Doom. I was going to paint “chorus of Hate” across the middle in red for the hater contest but it looked shitty so I wiped it off. I still like this enclosure even tho the epoxy looks like shit. Glad I finally used it. I got a few more DIY chorus pedals to go but this is king of the hill for now. Big thanks to @blackhatboojum for giving this PCB away last year in a contest. Cheers Dudes and dudettes. GO BUILD SOMETHING! IMG_1698.jpeg

Love the original Tolken artwork!

If you rejig this one, you really need (IMO) to make the hole for the LED be the entrance to the mountain, keep the shape of it and just have the Bypass-LED below it, hidden away, not protruding...
