Here we have a clone of the Last Gasp Art Laboratories Ripplet. I really enjoy the weirdness of LAL circuits in general but this one's my favorite so far. It's simply a tremolo whose speed is determined by the intensity of your playing. What's more interesting is that you can dig in and overwhelm the sensitivities forcing the the tremolo effect goes away instead of wandering into ring mod speeds.
It's quite nice to transition from sweet little tremolo laden melodies into big chordal parts with no modulation and back without any footwork. I wasn't expecting that and had to look to youtube to make sure it's supposed to "disappear" like that. Also, props to Deano for putting out more 125b sized projects. Unnecessarily large boards has been my only real complaint with their products but it seems like he's trying to humor us "pedalboard real estate whiners." I still refuse to side jack my pedals. Never ever.
It's going to be difficult for me to choose between my now 3 equally favorite tremolos. The PPCB Vibrobot being my favorite simple tremolo, the Madbean Wavelord being the craziest tremolo with the additional advantage of tap tempo and now this beautiful oddity. I liked it so much it went into my most unique lms limited edition powder coated enclosure.
I also like this thing on bass quite a bit, the effect ducking out when digging in makes it easy to keep the effect from stomping all over the groove.
