This is based on the Ibanez em5 echo machine. Let me start by saying i love this thing. It uses a weird chip and is considered digital but it sounds very much like a BBD delay. A lot different than your normal pt2399 delay. The way the repeats decay is a lot more natural and I love it. It also doesn’t sound sterile like a fv-1 does to me. Save some time and buy the chip from Aionfx. This way you know you arent getting a fake. This is probably my favorite digital chip delay I have come across. Simple controls and layout. Easy build. I like the aionfx pads. I think they use the enig for the pads so it makes the solder flow so easy. If you are on the fence on a digital delay this is the one to try. I like it so much I ordered an inch down redux board from deadendfx. It’s based on the same thing with modulation added. I went with the name cow bell because I want more!

I bought the kit and also love it, my new fav digital delay replacing my aion vector. I calibrated mine from silliness up to 800ms.

Please get back after the defx build for comparison!
