Built this one for Brazilian guitarist Sergio Buss, who played guitar with Steve Vai for years! Figured out the layout using some pictures from the web, but had to debug the pedal for hours, until I found out the 2 central pins of the transformers should be isolated from the rest of the circuit
Went with a TI 2n404 hFE 89 for the GE! Sounds great

Beautiful build as always. And after all the troubleshooting you had to do I'm not sure if I should mention that the transformer doesn't really do anything - at least not in my experience! But you got it working so full credit to you.

Thank you man! In the past I have made some without the transformer (and also Dylan’s Narrowcaster) and I can agree that the transformer has a neglectible influence on sound, but the customer asked for a full clone, so a full clone it is

Fair enough too! Dylan's Narrowcast isn't bad either but you gotta give the buyer what they want.
