People seem to like this YATS variant. So I picked up this board a few sales ago to see if I like it too.
I used 2SC1815s for the transistors, and 1N916s for the diodes. I read that it doesn’t really matter between those and 4148/914s. But they were $0.04 each, so why not toss them in an order?
I had this green enclosure pre drilled for 3-knobs already. Typically, I go for a similar color to the original, but I couldn’t do yellow for this. All my YATS are green.
The sound? I was surprised. It’s really nice. The mid-hump sits in a good place. Toans available at all sorts of settings. I would pick this over a stock tubescreamer any day.
