DWARVEN HAMMER

I have trouble with this latest version of dwarves hammer no distortion coming out of pedal - I know it's probably me but asking for advice , made a second one on a bread board still no distortion ? voltage ref and input voltage 5vdc and 9 vdc wasn't sure ??? schematic hard to understand on site pics are of another pedal ?

I was referring to the pedal not your breadboard…🤣

And at first glance of the breadboard that doesn’t remotely look like the dwarven hammer circuit. I see an extra pot and no opamp

That’s a lot of wire running everywhere, I would clean that up the best you could, and wire the footswitch and all jacks as per normal protocol. If that doesn’t sort it out, Double check all your values and take a hard look at the back of the board for bad solder joints or bridges. Be patient and take your time, I know it’s tedious. It’s a pretty simple circuit so this is a good opportunity to apply standard practices in troubleshooting, when all that checks out and you still haven’t found the problem visually, you can pull out your DMM start checking voltages and tracing the circuit.

THANK YOU ! But that is not the one that comes with dwarven hammer - ( the newest version ) but I used similar one to guess.
Q - did I use the right caps ? the only thing I did other than that was a 1 watt resistor . ? I also have 5 vdc ref voltage and using a 9 vdc battery for main supply voltages - is that cool ? (didn't read that in docs) . Thanks for helping me again . WANNA KNOW HOW I FAILED .

That board looks the same as it did 4 years ago… the cartoon is superfluous it’s just the pads that matter it’s the same wiring diagram for probably 90% of PPCB pcbs that fit in a 125b..

Your electrolytics, diodes, and transistors all seem to be facing the correct way,
you can sub box film and MLCC all day long that doesn’t matter as long as the values are correct, if it’s not the off board wiring, it’s probably a bad solder connection, what IC did you use and where did you get it?

Same issue on both the pedal and breadboard…I will put money on that’s the problem. Never buy ICs off amazon. If you have any known working 4558 swap it out see if that fixes it..
