Happy Halloween y'all! I've been looking at this orange and black enclosure from sbp on my parts shelf for a full year thinking "eh it's not Halloween right now" every time I need a bbs/bb2 so I really was motivated to finish this one up today. I think the Flock happens to make Halloween adjacent sounds so I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
I'm always down for some strangeness but I haven't had a ton of use for the crazier side of the PLL world. I gave my super het away pretty quickly but that's not happening with this one. It's the perfect size, smaller than the super het while also not needing a bunch of smd like the mini het. The Flock is also just a little more friendly and intuitive with dialing in sounds.
I thought about labeling the knobs but when I looked up what the original labels are it seemed pointless. I considered calling it the "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" and labeling the controls spooky, scary, boys, becoming, men, wolves, etc.
It's a great layout and crazy low parts for what it is capable of. Definitely my favorite PLL so far.
