I originally built this pedal (Build #2) before I knew about the C10 mod, thread linked here. I thought, “Oh C10 was originally included with the Benson Preamp, I want it!” without even thinking about what it did in the circuit. Man the pedal runs hot with it in! I like it in certain contexts, but I also like being able to use the full range of the drive knob. So after reading about it in the thread above, I decided to mod my build. Turned out great.
I won’t be using gold embossing powder for awhile. It was a fun experiment, but very difficult to be precise with. As you can see, the logo embossing went okay, but the knob labels are a different story.
