42TM019-R vs 42TL019-R?

Just used my last TL019’s and have a Tactical Fuzz to build. I’ve got a few TM019’s and was wondering if those would have any audible difference? The difference I’m seeing so far is in the primary resistance (M is 600 ohms and L is 450 ohms), would that have any impact using them as a pickup sim? They’re both 10kct/600ct and I believe they’re physically identical.

Thanks!

The only significant difference between those two transformers is the physical size. (They are not physically identical.) Either does well as a pickup sim.

Thanks. I must be misremembering the size of the TL019. Appreciate the confirmation!

Edit: Ah yes, I see know the TL019 is a few mm smaller than the TM019. I’m hoping it’ll fit in the same footprint, we’ll see. :)

Did you ever test if the TM019 worked? Building the same fuzz and Mouser only has the TM019 currently.

Most importantly, it's not just the basic bulk dimensions, specifically the pin-spacing is slightly off from each other — both the primary to secondary pin-spacing and each side's pin-to-pin spacing.
So if your PCB design calls for one, you'll have to bend pins to (maybe) make the other fit.

Imma bend some fricking pins then lol. It's for 2 PPCB Thorpy pedals that use a TL019, I bet I can squeeze 'em in. The TM019 does look quite a bit bigger though.

Just got the TM019 transformers in, they fit on both the Granger and Tactical PCBs, if you fold/cut off the little legs, and slightly bend the pins to fit the holes. I haven't populated or boxed the pedals, but I don't foresee any issues.
