This came across my wishlist a while back as I was researching tap tempo mods for another PT2399 delay. Loved the idea and loved that Electric Canary publishes all their bontempo code under an open source license.. Always happy to build stuff from small sellers that active in and supportive of the DIY community. There's something very endearing about all this effort to support the lowly humble PT2399.
Anywho, I believe the Iridescent is Electric Canary's reference circuit for testing and demonstrating the bontempo tap-tempo controller at the center of it all. The bontempo supports tap tempo (obviously), storing presets, configuring the daylights out of your modulation, etc.
The Iridescent board's layout is kind of chaotic but not too hard to work with if you have the build docs handy. Definitely needed my readers to find a couple of the tiny ceramic cap labels. Other than some minor gripes about the layout, the board itself looks pretty cool and unique, especially the reflective canary logo. My build went off without a hitch and everything worked perfectly out of the gate. It sounds nice to me and I've found all the controls to be useful. I might swap the rate/time pot for a different taper at some point; the range is pretty bunched up at one end.
