Deflector high pitched tone in bypass

Hi folks. I built a Deflector and noticed that even if its bypassed it puts out a high pitched tone which is audible through the amp. This seems to be occurring when the density knob is left of 12 oclock and it is much less noticeable turned right of 12 oclock. Has anyone had this problem? My fv1 was presoldered on the board.

Move your io wires away from the PCB, particularly the clock and it's traces

Are you testing in your chain or by itself? If the former test it by itself.

Tried multiple amps, multiple power outlets in the house, multiple power supplies, multiple guitars. The shrill tone is always there when density is left of noon. This is when the pedal is bypassed (off).

Move the io cables around with it hooked up and see if it changes.
Your out cable is directly on top of the clock source

Yeah, move the out cable away from the 4049 chip. Replace it with a longer one and tuck it under the board.

Welp i did the wire movement away from the chip and even resoldered my in/out jacks just for good measure. That did not fix it

Use the continuity function of a meter to verify the switch is completely disconnecting the circuit when bypassed

What part number charge pump did you use including the suffix?
