Mine was cases only, no drilling, no printing. When I messaged them July 20th and got a half shitty response back I don't think I will be ordering again. I'll buy a spray gun and paint and do my own or just find a local powdercoater than can do mine for a good price

Yea thats a crazy long time. Ive thought about going that route, you might check with @steviejr92 he offers all the enclosure stuff. Powder coats, drilling, uv etc.

Everything, and at quantity.
From what I've seen on the dashboard, certain powder coats must have awfully horrendous QC, and they will "split" the order to make sure they fulfill the quantity you asked for. Maybe with their infrastructure upgrades things might get better, hence the email they sent.
I think I can be strategic and plan around it. Currently it's still worth it for me.

Based on another email I've received, it's reasonable to hypothesize that anything with a high gloss finish—which includes things like the metallic/candy finishes—will have longer turnaround based on QC. I.e. because blemishes on those finish types will be more apparent, there's a high probability of having to redo it.

Just ordered, 3 different enclosure sizes, over two colors, winked silver and metallic black. Ordered on Jul. 31 and it shipped on August 5. There were a slew of parts on the order as well. So 3 business days to ship. Not to mention the time difference. They actually received my order on August 1.
When I have an order, I always compare costs with the domestic sources and almost always, even with tariffs, it is almost always more cost-effective to order from Tayda. The killer is ordering larger quantities of enclosures. Because they are heavier and take up more space, the shipping, handling and duties/tariffs can climb to close to 50%!

Just ordered today after my last two orders took more than 30 days. They make me check a box now saying if you order painted enclosures you acknowledge a 30 day wait. So I got my July 1 order yesterday and put in another order today. Nearly all 1590b enclosures. If I gotta wait 30 I have to plan ahead.
Their enclosures are immaculate and they offer so many options that I will likely continue to order from them, even if it takes two months.

Hugo said he’s going to try and fill in some of the color gaps in sand texture. I told him a Blue, Orange and Silver would be enough to get me to switch over.

That was the issue I ran into when Hugo originally told me Sand and Hammer wwre quicker.
I went to look at their colors and saw that in Sand I was going to have a Blue, Orange and Silver gap. In Hammer, I'd have a Red and Orange gap, but also don't really like the texture of their hammer enclosures.
As afar as QC, I think Hugo might have had some key turnover at his shop. I don't know the particulars of his staff, etc. but it seems he's lost some very knowledgeable/experienced person(s). There has always been some wait time, but lately, it's pretty intense.

I am glad to hear they are worth the wait. I was trying to build up some stock of my more popular colors and get some metallic pink options stocked. I also can just let my people know it's a month lead time for certain colors

You can PM me, if you wanna try out one of their boxes, I’ll send it to you.. I hate waiting 30 days for anything, but I feel hamstrung because they have such a great variety and they’re so meticulous in their powder coating. By the way, those chromium and metallic ones are very hard to work with.
My stuff is supposed to get to me by end of the week. Binordered about 11 cases. A couple glowninnthe dark too!
