Shit.....I have two metallic finished. The candy metallic on the other hand…
I kind of always assumed he’d wait til he had enough of one color ordered to do a large batch, figured theres less powder waste, cleaning etc that way. No idea if this is true. So i figured if i ordered a larger qty of the one color likely it will get done faster. As I just use faceplates and drill myself I just try and keep a variety on hand I can use for whatever. I have been ordering more from stompbox parts lately, while even with shipping its still more expensive they do have some good looking colors. This hydra with their burken blue turned out awesome.

The Cosmic Lilac is my favorite color. These knobs were just for testing. Final product for the customer will have the silver and black UFO knobs on the SFT preamp side and the M800 side will have white and gold marshall style knobs.Nice. They almost always seem to have Brunken Blue in stock and I think it looks great for many things. Trying the new Red Vein and Cosmic Lilac ones this time around though, just because.
So you mount the pcb to the lid? With the jacks secured to the case. Doesnt that make taking it apart kind of a pita with wires connecting the two?The Cosmic Lilac is my favorite color. It's the only way I have ever done itSo you mount the pcb to the lid? With the jacks secured to the case. Doesnt that make taking it apart kind of a pita with wires connecting the two?
I suppose you don’t have to be using board mounted pots, but then you still have the same issue.
Guess ive just never seen it done that way. It's the only way I have ever done it
Thats not bad at all.I got my shipping notice this morning, ordered 7/17. 5 hammered enclosures, no UV, no drill.
What size were they, out of curiosity? I have a half-baked theory that the newer finishes I've seen come up on the 1590BS enclosure size are pre-done elsewhere; probably from a Chinese company they get the enclosures from, as they have a different datasheet, which incidentally looks like they just took the Hammond one and slapped a different name on itI got my shipping notice this morning, ordered 7/17. 5 hammered enclosures, no UV, no drill.
It take Good an fast because with tariffs wasn't any cheaper than stomp box for meGood. Fast. Cheap.
