Hyped Fuzz (FZ-2)

Not much to say about this one, parts for it have been sitting around for a few months. Came together simply enough with no issues. That was a lot of resistors
I also probably should have used some colored knobs instead of black, but black was what I had!

I added the octave on/off switch that has been on a few other builds on this forum, I think that is a great feature to have available.

I don't know how much I plan on using this, but now I wont have to buy a Behringer SF300.

From the front on picture, looks like my center punch wasn't strong enough/drilling wasn't careful enough for the MODE toggle and the drill bit probably loved finding a different center in the hammered finish.

I was worried that I didn't get a Type 2 DPDT, but the one I got from Tayda has the correct switching combos as a type 2 so it all worked out!

I matched Q2 and Q3 to try and get the strongest octave effect, I didn't compare to using unmatched/random pair though.

I like the choice to use a TL072 for the boost instead of jfets.

if you drop that top string to A, there's a pretty good chance you'll activate the stargate and teal'c will give you a high five on the other side

Na you did right with the black knobs. Lots of part for a fuzz. Is the Behringer a clone of this?

The behringer sf300 is a clone of the boss hyper fuzz fz-2 which is a descendant of the univox super fuzz

Absolutely wild that you can get the SF300 for less then $30 new.
