Since the trimpots are supposed to be on the other side of the board I ended up wiring the presence knobs backwards so I'll have to fix that.
I did the mod to make the gain knob have the full range of both the low and high gain version of the kot according to chucks post as screenshotted and shared here.
I use the second half as distortion and first half as a boost to goose the front end. I should've probably swapped the led colors but oh well.
Pretty sure I ended up liking LEDs active on the second and neither on the first. I've mostly used it as as a sort of preamp and surprisingly enjoy it that way. However if that were the intended use case it would need more EQ control. Regardless so far I like the king of tone better than the morning glory and blues breaker so that's good.
I used 4148's for all the diodes on the 1st/top side since they are apparently close enough to what is supposed to be in there.
I used 3mm red LEDs and bat42's for the other side since I figured I'd mix things up a bit and see how it goes.
I thought about wiring putting some switches on the front to change the clipping but didn't feel like trying to make the room. Ultimately that was something I set and forget after I tried it out anyway. For others y'all might prefer to have switches on the face rather than the presence knobs.
Either way it's a keeper! I'll give it four stars for now though.
