    Mojo parts N.E.W. npn buzzaround

I think Sprague/Vishay TVA series 50V axial electrolytics should fit in c5/6/7. I've used them as filters for the low voltage bias supply in amps and remember them being decently priced. For the smaller caps if you want all the mojo you probably have to go with tropical fish, but the prices are...

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Great looking circuit, would you be willing to explain the function of C6?

    Stiff pots?

+1, I use F5 for conductive plastic pots, mostly in newer hifi stuff, and D5 for everything else. Guitar pots are usually carbon so D5 is the way to go, it's expensive, but a can lasts a pretty long time. My current can has made it through five 1960's hifi stereo rebuilds plus general household...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Well, it's still a horrible rat's nest, but I don't think I'm capable of doing any better at this point so I sent it off the JLC for 5 boards to see just how noisy it is, and if it even works. With all the coupons it's a pretty cheap experiment.

    1590XX VFE Klein Bottle V3.2

OK I uploaded it to dropbox and updated the link in the first post, I think it should work now, let me know. I guess I've become old, can't link a simple file download.

Whoops, I don't know any good file hosting sites anymore. I'll do some googling tomorrow and post a new link.

    1590XX VFE Klein Bottle V3.2

my pleasure, you will probably want to widen all the holes slightly, especially if you're getting the enclosure painted and printed, or be prepared with a drill and step bit, sorry it's not more exact.

What strings do you guys use?

Thanks, I'm going to give the 12-52 set a try since they have higher tension that round wound. Since the 11's are working in C# the 12's should be plenty in C.

What strings do you guys use?

NYXL 13-56 - C Standard tuning on my SG, after 15 years playing the upright bass they feel fine and keep good tension with the low tuning. My arms still look like twigs. Thinking about trying flats. Any recommendations for something that maintains a bit of brightness?

    1590XX VFE Klein Bottle V3.2

Here's the template I used: Tayda KB Drill Template I ended up widening all of the pot and toggle holes one step with my step bit to make it easier to get everything lined up and in the enclosure for soldering, but it might work as is if you're superduper patient. Example of my build here and a...

    Klein Bottle and Scabbard

I used the untested drill template from the VFE group buy thread first and it wasn't a great fit for my graphics layout and would've been pretty difficult to fit the foot switches in. I made adjustments for the one pictured and still had to widen the holes for the pots a bit to get everything...

    Klein Bottle and Scabbard

I really wanted the KB a year ago when I was messing around with weird ambient type stuff and weirded classical covers, but I've gone back to big dumb power chords and simple riffs blasted with fuzz and no longer really feel the need for parallel mixing. That said, it's a cool pedal and does a...

    JBF vs non-JBF Capacitors

Check the data sheets/specs but I think those are both pretty big for PCB builds, unless you have space for mojo. Edit: just looked at the screen shot again 10mm lead spacing, so assume big caps

    Bring out yer Diptrace

I'm grateful for the help and I'll take any criticism and suggestion. I wasn't trying to sound like I had it all figured out, just to say how well everything cleaned up after the suggestions, reading it back I can see how it comes off cocky though, I do not feel that way and know that I'm far...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Thanks for the help everyone, I've been watching youtube diptrace tutorials but they haven't been audio focused, just getting an assembly together. I learned how to use vias this morning and I think I've cleaned things up pretty well, but I'm going to try to optimize component placement some...
