Anyone who built the Wrecking Ball from C2C Electronics ?

I did the Bogner Uberschall, I don't have any current plans to re-release it though. I still offer Black Eye, which is the Soldano Supercharger GTO. I have a couple ideas that I've been tossing around, I've certainly considered a Dumble preamp project.

Particle Accelerator - Alembic F-2B clone

Nope, seems like a good idea.

Anyone who built the Wrecking Ball from C2C Electronics ?

Well I've definitely built it already ;) I don't have an actual dual rectifier to compare this to, but frankly the intention of this is to be for someone who wants the dual rec sound and doesn't want to buy a dual rec. The schematic I got seems to be pretty accurate so I assume it's close to...

    Any builders want to collaborate?

How well do you work with people that have no idea what they want? I'm a non-artist stuck doing my own artwork for my pedals because I'm incapable of coherently telling an artist what I'm looking for.

    Amp Storage

How long are they going to be stored for? If it's fairly long term, my first thought would be to wrap them in moving blankets so they're fully covered, then wrap up the moving blankets with plastic wrap so it's air tight, then put that whole wrapped thing in a box.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Spun up a layout this morning for the tube burn-in/tester prototype I came up with over the weekend, looking forward to getting this in and put together. Switch in the front is to power on the module, switch in the back is to switch between 12AX7 and 12AU7 levels. Trimpots are for initial...

I actually did a Pultec as a pedal a few years ago and was kind of underwhelmed with it on bass and guitar, but I have been wondering if it would have been better as a mic preamp. I think I still have it around somewhere, maybe I'll dig it up and try it. I've actually been headed down the...

You can now purchase the Unagi Magnetics E4305 transformer direct from the website without purchasing a PCB. I've also added the Unagi Magnetics M1380, a multi-tap inductor that's a drop-in replacement for the custom inductor used in the Ampeg SVTCL. I don't expect to sell a ton of them, but...

Absolutely, you're more than welcome to try something with the Supersonic schematic. It's a pain in the ass design, but if you have the patience for it I say go for it.

    Back In Stock Updates

I literally only have one still on hand, I was keeping it for nostalgia. I stopped the 4-tube version quite frankly because so many people were having difficulty making it work. It was a daunting project and it was expensive, so multiple people dropped $150+ on a project that they couldn't get...

    Back In Stock Updates

That is basically my intention. I made a prototype of the revised Supersonic a while ago and I could never really get it working the way I wanted to, so the Wrecking Ball seemed like a good idea as it's a circuit I've done before successfully. I won't say I'll never revisit the Uberschall...

    Back In Stock Updates

Just got the build document for Wrecking Ball updated with a DIY drill template for those that are into that sort of thing. Next on the to-do list is UV print artwork for tayda, then hopefully detailed build instructions this weekend, and if I'm really ambitious then a quick video demo. UPDATE...

C2C Electronics - Tayda Drill Templates

Just added a template for Wrecking Ball, I'll try to get artwork files today or tomorrow.

    Nobelium Build 50kHz issue

Something seems to be wrong with either my USB drive or the oscilloscope's image capture, but here are some lovely garbled pics of the measurements. You can still see the important bits I guess. Output jack tip measured with reference to output jack sleeve: XLR pin 3 measured with reference...

    Nobelium Build 50kHz issue

I'm measuring 880mV peak to peak at the output jack and 76mV peak to peak between XLR pin 3 and the output jack ground. I also have a university degree in electrical engineering and I spent my first few years in industry designing SMPS circuits. I can tell you that the nixie supply used here...

    Back In Stock Updates

Wrecking Ball is in stock on the website and I have the beginnings of a build doc, but for now it's just the BOM and the schematic. I'll try to get a Tayda drill file and artwork file up tonight, and I'll get detailed build instructions for it sometime in the next week. On a semi-related note...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

Oh sorry, I completely missed that. I don't have an audio demo, I don't usually do those because I suck at the guitar. Usually I'm lucky enough that someone else does it for me. I will say that from a circuit perspective the closest thing out there is going to be the 1776 Effects Rub-A-Dub...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

Well I'm upset. Musikding just asked for me to send more PCBs, and in his email he misspelled Bathtub Reverb as Bathtube, and I like that better. Bath Tube. Because it has a tube in it. It was right there and I missed it. Bathtube Reverb. Dammit.
