    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Ohh yeah, switching the outputs rather than the inputs. Clever thinking. It's a distortion circuit using 2 x tl072, then a 3 band active tone stack. The volume pots immediately follow the coupling cap after the tone stack. Not sure if they changes anything but it's nothing too insane, has a...

    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Sorry dude I was editing the post when you replied to make it a bit clearer :)

    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Okie dokie. Cheers for the advice. So there'd be another pole after the pots looking like a Y on its side, one throw connected to the output of lug 2 of each pot, the pole going to circuit output? Basically mirroring the pole before it. C1: vol 2, lug 2. C2: PCB output C3: vol 1, lug 2.

    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Sorry to summon you back into this but this is what I've worked out according to your very helpful advice. Hopefully I translated that across ok to the schematic sections as follows. Here's what I've got for the common anode led, and I'll wire B2 to the top left lug on the bypass 3pdt. The...

    Design Challenge #1

Yeah probably if I can find an eagle library part for a 4 gang pot. But it'll be a while as I'm neck deep in trying to sort out this bi-color led thing that is sadly kicking my ass (see post in the modifications section). One thing about stacking gain stages this way is you've gotta keep the...

    Design Challenge #1

I was just thinking a tl074 with each op amp wired to a gain pot. Have each stage amplify a certain frequency range, like 400-800hz, 600-1000hz, 720-1200hz, 1khz-2.2khz. Soft clipping all the way with green LEDs, then red LEDs, then 1n4001s, then 4148s all in pairs in the feedback loop of each...

    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Ya know, that's a lot more thinking than I was prepared for. Time to brew some coffee! And find a dictionary.

    Bi-colour LED wiring?

Bear with me a sec. Grr. So I've got a distortion pedal. I'd like to have 2 volume controls that you can switch between, kinda working like amp channels I guess. Set one quiet, set one loud and it's sort of an inbuilt boost (almost). The easiest method I could think up was this: Just your...

    Taller 1590bb from Tayda?

It would normally help cheers, but living outside their country really ramps up the shipping to make it bordering on crazy.

    Predrilled 1590bb

For the bigger stuff like rainbow machine, paragon, etc it would be very handy to have a matching enclosure available from Tayda ready to go. I find the drilling (especially on the top) a bit of a crapshoot and most of the drilling templates don't list measurements. Is it possible to convince...

    baking spray painted enclosures

For powder coating? With regular rattle can spray paint (enamel etc) you don't need an oven, just let it dry. It dries plenty hard. Powder coating however needs a hot environment so the powder liquifys then sets.

    Hotcake 2020

Well there you go. I saw the new 2020 Hotcake today which incorporates those mods into the official design. I know they've been part of the diy world for years but didn't realise there was already a PCB out there. Either way, since pedalpcb sell the hotcake board already, they might want to...

    Hotcake 2020

It has some switchable mods for the xlf (bass version) and the cream mod (probably a cap change). It might be the same thing otherwise.

    Green Russian Muffin Fuzz

Ehx use a b100 for everything for better or worse. Easier to manufacture at a mass scale if you don't have to change things. But general consensus is A for volume, B for everything else.

    What's on the workbench?

I've been working on this guy for a month. It's essentially a dual overdrive circuit controlled via a single dual gang pot. One is soft clipping LEDs and allowing more highs through, the other is a soft clipping 914 side which takes care of the beefy stuff and there's a healthy overlap in the...

    Taller 1590bb from Tayda?

I'm trying to find an enclosure that's the same dimensions as a 1590bb but with a few extra mm in height, and available from Tayda since they print and ship to my lonely corner of the globe. I can see the 1590xx but that's too big. Is there anything you guys are aware of that would fit the bill?
