    Where can I find a genuine mc1496?

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to make a gonkulator but I need to find an mc1496. I see a few on eBay but I have been burned before. If anyone knows a reputable seller with this that would be awesome. Preferably through home but smd is ok. I see banzai has it but it’s about $50 shipping to...

    Fornicus LEDs

Yeah the internal trim is a bit of a waste for me. I just have it fully on. Full clockwise (for mine anyway) has max sag. You can actually see the boom LED light up/decrease when you turn it. On my build there is a huge difference in the weight switch with heavy being very saggy and light being...

DOD FX22 (Vibro Thang) schematic - make true bypass?

Well I put this together this afternoon. I won't say it went smoothly but it seems to work. Here is a video. It's very noisy and I'm not sure it works 100%, but it works and sounds pretty much like it should! I'll have to keep working on this.

    Fornicus LEDs

Mine seems to be working fine. Yellow led is always on for me too. If the red led goes on but doesn’t impact your round I’d look at r22. You may have the wrong value here. I put a trimmer here and found that there was a narrow area that it actually worked. I settled on 1k5 anyway Or you could...

Tayda UV Printing - Issue Flagged - "There is rdg_white used but some parts are missing, no rdg_white"

Have you checked every single item in your white layer? Not as a group? I find that I often make a fill in rdg white but the stroke stays in another colour especially is you select everything in a layer/group and change the colour at once. You kind of have to check the fill and stone for...

    Paragon mini (KoT) gain question

Why not try a trim pot with pins 2 and 3 connected? I do this a lot when I can’t decide what I like best. Just put a 100k trim where your 100k resistor is and adjust to see what you like best. Or a lower value if you don’t like what you have.

DOD FX22 (Vibro Thang) schematic - make true bypass?

🥸 Well I’ve done the layout already. I’ll double check the schematic tonight (I’m always making silly mistakes) and send it to JLPCB. I’ll let you know if I get it working. If you don’t hear from me then it’s in my drawer of shame.

DOD FX22 (Vibro Thang) schematic - make true bypass?

Of course, thank you. I should have said. And Yes I have upvoted as well. I'm quite interested in this (I'm sure that's obvious though).

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

You mean I won't ever be able to turn the circuit off? Yes I need some attention to that. However my idea is to make this effectively two independent PCBs but on the same board. I'll just connect everything with wires. Had trouble getting my head around the order switching.

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I knew I had missed a few things but I'm glad you could all go over this for me. I know I would have been troubleshooting this for a while. So how does this look? - I think the power is connected properly allowing me to switch from 9v to 18v. - Mids opamp...

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

Thanks for the reply. Yes SW2 is wrong. Robert has suggested something that I will try. You are completey right about SW1.2! I think I have fixed that now. Thanks RE the boost. I can't believe I forgot the power.

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

Thanks thanks. Good eye. If I put a connection to vref here going to pin 5 when the buffer is off, so you think that will work?

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

You are probably right. I’ll have to have a think about what I want here.

Thanks. I knew this didn’t look right but couldn’t figure out how to do it.

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

So I finally got the time to put a rough draft of a schematic together. If anyone wants to have a look at it and see if it all makes sense that would be great. In particular the charge pump. Ideally I'd like to go from 9v to 18v and have this as an external switch. Can I use a SPDT per my...

    Space is Fun Reverb (Moonn)

The PCBGM one works too, it just sounds like wet shit. I was wondering if this was because DBA designed it this way or that PCBGM had screwed up their version. Comparing the moon/Pcbgm schematics there seems to be only minor changes: moon have more mods, no pull-down resistor and one resistor...

    Space is Fun Reverb (Moonn)

Does anyone know how the space is fun compares to the PCB Guitar Mania version? I built the latter and it’s really disappointing. Seems like a waste of the belton brick. Is it worth building the moon one to rescue my brick?

    Fornicus LEDs

I made one of these (not from PedalPCB) and D2 lights up when you play guitar, it reacts to your signal if you are in sag mode. It'a a part of the signal and isn't necessarily on when you push the momentary switch. One of the trimpots affects how bright it is. The yellow D1 which is internal...

What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I'm going to have to sit on this and think about what to do but I like the idea of incorporating all of the mods. I'm thinking I will steal the palisades idea with the variable gain and bandwith but add the following: Charge pump on a switch boost on a switch...
