Trouble shooting noise that’s not the PS

Thanks dude. No ICs in this one. There are only a hand full of different components to the P2, hence my confusion.

Trouble shooting noise that’s not the PS

Hey all, how do you guys start trouble shooting a noisy pedal. I’ve worked out it’s not the PS as it does it with a battery. The noise is the same with any guitar with the volume up or down. When you play you can’t overly hear it but when not playing it’s like a sand storm. Holding the strings...

    SOLVED Super Fuzz problems

I believe your looking at R1 which is indeed 22k, it’s the only green resistor on that row. R3 is however 100k

    SOLVED Super Fuzz problems

@Nostradoomus @PedalBuilder @Robert hey guys, thanks for all your efforts so far. It is indeed a fuzzdog board. I buy a lot from there being in the uk. The board is indeed designed for 5088s. I am at an absolute loss as to where the signal is going. I am half inclined to just grab another board...

    SOLVED Super Fuzz problems

Yes I do, in my own defence I really didnt think it would matter given that it’s only 5 bloody components in. The black wires are just tacked on for testing. You can see Q1 is empty. I’ve pulled the transistor and tacked on a socket on the underside.

    SOLVED Super Fuzz problems

Hey all. Just built a super fuzz and on test, silence. Hit up the audio probe and there is nothing beyond the base of Q1. Thinking that Q1 may be buggered I pulled it and tacked on a socket (very crudely) and still the same, nothing on the collector. Anyone any thoughts as what the hell could be...

    Modding The Delegate Compressor Bias

Hi all, I am in the process of implementing @Chuck D. Bones mods on the delegate but it’s not on a Pedal PCB board. I have managed to work most out working between the different schematics however I am struggling with the bias mod. Chuck has made it nice and simple with a pic when linking R6...

Boneyard Delegate Compressor Red LEDs and GL5516

Hey all, with 15% off PCBs at the moment it makes it worth me dropping an order to the UK. I’ve been after this one for a while. Can anyone tell me the difference of having or omitting the LEDs ? Also, I have heard that you can substitute the GL5516 and LED with a NSL-32 Vactrol. What do you...

    AM Rangemaster

Cheers dude, the person who I have given it too says that it’s happening in all positions of the Ge/Si toggle. I will have to wait till it comes back. The frustrating thing is that it wasn’t doing it when I sent it.

When you say lift don’t mean take it out ? For my learning what would be the rational for that ?

    AM Rangemaster

Thanks for the helpful reply dude. It’s in a bare enclosure. I am just waiting for it to be returned from the person I gave it too. I’m going to re-flow everything and see ! I was thinking a poor ground somewhere. It was working just fine when I sent it 😏
